| 'The
Cheap Sampler Volume 3' £4.00
A stonking new Damaged
Goods 28 track compilation with stuff from our catalogue
new and old, there's even 3 exclusive tracks on this
one, including Buzzcocks'
'Don't Come Back' previously unavailable on CD, The
Kitchen's 'Legion
Of Mary Team' previously unreleased and Honeyrider's
'Cyberfriends Network' also previously unreleased.
It comes with a lovely eight page full colour booklet
and is all for the price of a CD single...
Here's the notes from
the sampler booklet:
"Damaged Goods
started life in August 1988 with the release of our
first 7", a re-issue of Slaughter
& The Dog's classic 1977 single 'Where Have
All The Bootboys Gone?'.
That was supposed to
be it, just one single... 1,000 copies... but it got
great reviews in all 4 of the UK's weekly papers and
we got addicted to it, 16 yeras on and 250 or so releases
later it's now taken over our life. We now have bands
and artists that we've worked with for over 10 years,
Holly Golightly
and Billy Childish
to name two, been part of the wonderful Fierce Panda
for 7 years knocking out another 100 releases on that
label plus loads of other stuff that we love. All
in all it's a great job to have. Some records do really
well, some don't, some get discovered years later,
some never do but that's all part of the fun, we think
something's great, put it out and then some snotty
journalist decides it's crap. Obviously we know they're
wrong, but that's life.
2004 had been a great year and 2005 looks
like it's gonna be even better. So this compilation
is just a snapshot of where we're at at the moment,
we hope you like something on it, if you like everything
on it then you should get down the doctors a bit sharpish.
Cheers,
Ian Damaged, London August 2004"
